2. Initial setup requires the installation of high-quality batteries: The unit operates on two D cell batteries. It is recommended to position the device in areas with loose soil, like a vegetable patch or flowerbed, taking care to fit the top securely to maintain its watertight integrity.
3. Installation instructions: Excavate a hole at the site of pest activity. Avoid forcefully driving the unit into the soil to prevent damage. Gently position it into the hole, ensuring soil covers up to two-thirds of the unit, excluding the detachable top.
4. Coverage efficiency is contingent upon soil type: Dense clay soil maximizes coverage, while light sandy soil provides minimal coverage. The effective radius generally spans approximately 650 square meters.
