2. First-time setup is simple: Install the batteries using high-quality 2*D cell batteries for optimal performance. Position the device in areas with loose soil, like a vegetable garden or flower bed, and ensure the top is firmly sealed to maintain its waterproof integrity.
3. Installation in the ground: Carefully dig a hole in areas frequented by pests-avoid hammering the device into the ground to prevent damage. Place the unit securely into the hole, ensuring that the soil level reaches 2/3 of the unit, excluding the removable top.
4. The effective coverage area varies with soil type: Clay-heavy soils offer the widest range, whereas sandy soils offer less coverage. Typically, the coverage extends to around 650 square meters.
