The Vibrating Snake Repeller is designed to emit low-frequency sounds that cause the ground to vibrate in a circular pattern. Rodents, detecting these vibrations, instinctively move away. Note that the vibrations cannot penetrate solid obstructions, such as building foundations. The coverage area extends in a circular radius from the device.
1. Power Source: Operated by 2*D cell (1.5V) batteries, which typically last 4-6 months. Regular checks are advised, and batteries should be removed if the ground becomes waterlogged or frozen.
2. Initial Setup: Install batteries before first use. We recommend high-quality batteries for optimal performance. The unit accommodates 2*D cell batteries and should be placed in an area with loose soil, such as a vegetable garden or flower bed. Ensure the top is securely fastened for watertight protection.
3. Installation Instructions: Select a location with pest activity for placing the unit. Avoid hammering the device into the ground to prevent damage. Instead, gently position it in a pre-dug hole, ensuring the soil fills up to 2/3 the height of the unit (excluding the removable top).
4. Coverage Area: The area covered by the device depends on the soil type. Heavy clay soil offers the most extensive coverage, while sandy soil provides the least. Typically, the effective range is around 650 square meters.
